The actor shared the information as he accepted an award at a Celebrity Fight Night event in Tuscany on Sunday. During his speech, the 53-year-old said: "I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places."
It had initially been reported that the couple would tie the knot at Clooney's home in Lake Como, but it is thought the residence is not private enough for the couple who want to keep their big day away from the spotlight.
In August, the couple were spotted in London where they picked up their marriage licence.
Clooney and 36-year-old Alamuddin, a human rights lawyer based in London, announced their engagement in April. They are thought to have started dating in October 2013.
