Last month, the 32-year-old model confirmed her marriage to Williams had ended after it was alleged he had been unfaithful to her while he had been working in Las Vegas. Shortly afterwards, the couple publicly hit out at each other, causing a bitter exchange of words.
However, McLean has now said the couple are trying to move forward and be on more friendly terms with each other.
Speaking to The Mirror, the mum-of-two said: "Things will always be amicable in the end between him and I.
"It's been a very, very long time of heartache and crying and wanting to kill myself and now it's just like 'it is what it is' and I can have a bit of banter about it."
McLean and Williams tied the knot in June 2009. They have two sons together, Rocky, eight, and four-year-old Striker. Last month, McLean confirmed her marriage had ended, following weeks of speculation that the couple's relationship was in trouble.
