In 2012, it was revealed that Ross's husband, film director Rupert Sanders, had embarked on an affair with actress Kristen Stewart after they met on the set of movie Snow White and the Huntsman. At the time, Stewart, 24, was also in a relationship with Robert Pattinson.
Following the revelations, Ross filed for divorce in January 2013 with the process finalised in July this year.
Despite the end of her marriage, however, 35-year-old Ross has admitted she has forgiven her former partner for his infidelity. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar UK, she said: "It's amazing what two years does. Today, I feel happier than I've ever felt and I'm in such a great place. All of us are: my kids are great, Rupert's amazing, we have all moved on and everyone is doing really well.
"People need to learn to forgive. I have no problem with anyone involved. I'm completely compassionate, I really am. No life is perfect, we all have our problems and issues and I believe that it's good to be true to who you are."
She continued: "Rupert and I were together since we were very, very young. I was 18 – essentially, I married my first boyfriend. I always used to say we were more like brother and sister anyway. We'd been together for so long, we weren't really evolving together as a couple so much."
Ross and Sanders married in 2002. They have two children together, a daughter named Skyla and a son, Tennyson.
