The final touches are being carried out at a new registry office in Mercat Cross, Banff, ahead of its opening next month, it has been reported.
From September, couples wishing to marry at the office will have the option to use a new marriage room in the building. The work is part of a wider restoration project which has included the construction of new office accommodation. It is also part of a three-phase project to upgrade council offices in Banff.
The current Registration office, based at Seafield House, will close on Monday 1 September and re-open at Mercat Cross, Banff, on Wednesday 3 September.
