The incident occurred at the Hilton Hotel in Deansgate, Manchester, on 31 May. Police were called to the venue at around 11.30pm after it was reported that staff at the hotel had been assaulted by a man and woman.
Nicholas Bigland, 25, and Kirsty Bigland, 30, were arrested at the scene and spent the first night of their marriage in police cells. They have since been charged in connection with the incident.
Mr Bigland has been charged with using threatening, abusive and insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence. Mrs Bigland is charged with common assault and a public order offence, both racially aggravated.
The couple from Salford are due to appear before magistrates on 5 September.
