In an interview with MailOnline, the 36-year-old confirmed that he is currently single and hadn't ruled out going digital as he looks for love.
He commented: "We were joking about it. I actually think Tinder will become the next new Saturday night TV phenomenon."
Jones, however, wasn't so sure what his dating profile would say, but that he would be able to strike up a conversation when the time comes.
"What's the worst that can happen if you're polite in the way you go about it?" he laughed.
He also admitted that the reason he is still single is because he has yet to find "the right one", and when pressed on his perfect woman he said: "I like a girl who's comfortable in her own skin. Someone who can make light of a situation.
"Most importantly, I like a girl who can laugh. Not in a comedy stand up routine kind of way but who just likes laughing in general."
Jones was previously in a relationship with classical singer Katherine Jenkins. The pair first met in 2005, but didn't start dating until 2007. In February 2011, the couple announced their engagement, but that December they said they had decided to go their separate ways.
