The 19-year-old confirmed their reconciliation via Twitter on Monday (11 August).
In November 2013, the couple announced they had separated and had signed a separation agreement, but it has been reported that they never actually divorced.
According to US media reports, the pair now plan to renew their wedding vows by the end of this year.
Speaking to FOX411, Krista Keller, Stodden's mother and manager, said: "Courtney realized just how much love she really had for Doug. They really love each other and wanted to be together."
The couple have previously hit the headlines for their relationship. Stodden was just 16 when she married Hutchinson – who was 51-years-old at the time. Keller had to sign off on her daughter's marriage certificate in order for the pair to marry.
