Deeley, 37, married comedian Patrick Kielty in September 2012 in a private ceremony. The couple have been friends for a number of years, but due to their busy work schedules they are often forced to spend a lot of time away from each other. Deeley is now based in the US as she hosts television show, 'So You Think You Can Dance?', while Kielty is based in Ireland.
In an interview with The Sunday People, however, the TV host says it is the "perfect scenario".
She explained: "We start getting on each other's nerves. He starts to hate me and I start to hate him.
"And he has to go away and I kind of miss him. We're normally apart for about 10 days. And then he comes back and we're lovely again.
"It works out perfectly. It's the perfect scenario. Lots of my friends are quite jealous about our relationship."
