According to reports, the bride and groom-to-be, as well as four guests, were arrested by officers.
The wedding party were detained at Newcastle's Civic Centre.
A spokesperson for the Home Office said: "Of the six people arrested, four have now been charged with conspiracy to facilitate a breach of UK immigration law, and will also appear at Newcastle Crown Court."
It is understood the raid was part of an international operation to crack down on sham weddings.
