The Formula 1 heiress became a mother for the first time in March, but insists she is a very "hands-on" mother.
Speaking to Mother & Baby magazine, the 30-year-old said: "I love being a hands-on mum. I made a decision to be a mum who'd raise my baby with the support of my family and Jay.
"I was there the first time Sophia rolled over, smiled and giggled in her sleep. There are times we do have help from the nanny, but they're in the minority."
She also spoke of her desire to add to her family, admitting: "[Sophia] is such an amazing girl. She has the best personality and is beautiful. Everything about being a mother has completed me. We definitely want more."
Ecclestone first announced her pregnancy in September 2013, just months after she tied the knot with Jay Rutland. The couple held an extravagant ceremony on the French Rivera in June 2013 to mark their union, before holding a smaller service in London to make their marriage official.
