Her comments come after the former rugby player was detained under the Mental Health Act last week when he was spotted acting erratically outside the family's home. Kay has since spoken out about the incident to say it was caused by a mixture of alcohol, sleeping tablets and steroids.
He is quoted as saying: "The only thing the hospital could explain to me was that the mixture of things I'd taken made a chemical imbalance in the brain.
"What was going on was just in my head. All I can say is – if you're thinking of taking steroids, look what happened to me. I was a fool. No good can come out of taking them."
His partner has now also spoken out about the incident, dismissing claims that their September wedding – and plans for another child – are on hold.
Speaking to The Sun, 33-year-old Katona revealed: "George wants to have another baby soon because he doesn't want to be an older dad and we'd like the children to be close in age.'
"I know there have been rumours of the wedding being off but it is definitely going ahead," she continued. "And it is not abroad – we are getting married in the UK."
Katona and Kay are due to tie the knot next month. They have been friends for a number of years but only started dating in 2012. They announced their engagement last year and in April, the couple welcomed their first child together, daughter named Dylan Jorge. While Dylan is Kay's first child, his partner is also a mum to Molly 12, and Lilly Sue, 11, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden, and Heidi, seven, and five-year-old Maxwell from her second marriage to Mark Croft.
