Collins, who stars in The Only Way Is Essex, and Moss were in a relationship earlier this year, but their romance hit the headlines after it was revealed the latter had spent time in prison.
According to The Mirror, Moss – who served five and a half years for conspiring to supply drugs – is now a free man, the pair have decided to give their romance another try. Previously, the pair could only spend a short period of time together as Moss was on day release.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, a source claimed: "Gemma is open-minded, and though she knows he's not the greatest guy, she believes people deserve second chances. She's very understanding. Hence why it was Gemma he turned to first when he was released."
They added: "Neither of them are the same people they were when they first met. Gemma has never really got over Alex. And it was clear when he came out on day release that it really isn't over between them."
The couple first started dating more than 10 years ago, but in April, Collins suggested that things weren't finished between them when she described her partner as "a bit of a gangster but with a big heart" in her autobiography.
