The couple officially confirmed their romance in the series finale of the show on Wednesday night. Their declaration of love followed a heated discussion between Bloor and co-star James Lock. The two men were discussing a fight their partners – Lauren Pope and Danielle Armstrong, respectively – had been involved in the previous week. When the women joined the conversation, they were told how the argument had made things 'awkward' between the old friends.
Bloor told Lock: "Bottom line is your sticking up for your girlfriend, I'm sticking up for mine, but we don't want to fall out over it. So girls, have a day off from it please."
Afterwards, Bloor realised he referred to Lauren as his "girlfriend", asking: "I think I called you my girlfriend there didn't I?".
He quickly followed it up with: "Would you like to be?".
Lauren replied: "I would love to be your girlfriend."
After the episode aired, Lauren took to Twitter and told her followers: "How could a girl resist? #towie", along with a smiley face.
