According to the Nottinghamshire Post, Pete Good, a primary school teacher, asked his friends and family to form a dance to one of the couple's favourite songs - That's What's Up by Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros. Following the performance, which took place at the tunnel between Derby Road and The Park, Nottingham, last weekend, Mr Good can be seen dropping to one knee and asking his girlfriend, Jenny Sneller, to marry him.
Ms Sneller, 24, is quoted by the Nottinghamshire Post as saying: "I thought I was going with friends for a birthday lunch but when we got to Derby Road they blindfolded me, which I thought was a bit random.
"When I got told to take off the blindfold and sit on the back of a van, I knew something was happening. Pete sent me the song a few days ago and I instantly fell in love with it.
"When my friends started dancing and that song started playing I realised that he had something to do with it. I thought the whole thing was amazing and it was all perfect."
Good, 31, and his now-fiancée first met in September 2012, and he said: "It all went perfectly but was incredibly hard to keep a secret. So many people knew that it was going to happen for weeks and even though I was the one down on one knee, it was a team effort."
