Zayn Malik has denied reports that he has secretly married his fiancée Perrie Edwards.
On Wednesday, the singer was claimed to be a married man after he posted a photo of himself wearing what appeared to be a wedding band on his ring finger. Fans were quick to say that the 21-year-old had tied the knot with his long-time partner; especially when they started doing a little research and found a photograph from February where he is also wearing the ring. Edwards, who was performing with her Little Mix bandmates at Hyde Park last weekend, also sparked wedding rumours after she was spotted wearing a matching silver band on her ring finger.
However, a spokesperson for Malik has since issued a statement which read: "Perrie and Zayn are not married. The picture shows his engagement ring."
Malik and Edwards, also 21, have been in a relationship since 2011. In August last year, the couple confirmed their engagement after Edwards was spotted wearing a diamond ring.
