According to The Express, the couple - Zoe Howe, 25, and her childhood sweetheart, 26-year-old Alex Pitas - have been fans of the wizardry franchise for a number of years.
After deciding to hold a themed wedding, the couple then spent nine months preparing for their big day. One of the special touches included the couple making 100 magic wands for their guests, while their wedding cake was the famous Sorting Hat from the movie. Each table at the reception was also named after the various Hogwarts' houses, such as Gryffindor and Slytherin; while the centrepiece of the tables included vases with foraged wood, and tiny antique keys and home-made golden snitches hanging from the branches.
Ms Howe is quoted by the paper as saying: "It was just the perfect day.
"We had been so busy in the run up to it - Alex and I were creating different parts every evening as soon as Max went to bed.
"Neither of us had done anything like this before so we were unsure what it would look like overall, but I am so pleased with how everything turned out - it wasn't tacky and felt magical."
She continued: "Alex had always been a massive fan after reading the books as a child, but I had never read them before Max was born.
"Alex said that the Harry Potter books were such a big part of his life, we needed to introduce our son to them. So I started reading them to Max and I couldn't put them down."
And when it came to deciding on a theme for their big day, the newlywed admitted: "We couldn't decide on a theme for the wedding as we didn't like butterflies or flowers, so we came up with the idea of a Harry Potter theme, as it meant so much to us.
"We decided, if we were going to spend money on a wedding it should be super personal and one that is memorable."
The couple, who married at a registry office before holding their reception at The Wroxeter Hotel, Shrewsbury, have been together for nine years and have a two-year-old son, Max, together.
