Kate Silverton Welcomes Baby Boy

Kate Silverton has announced she has given birth to her second child.

The BBC newsreader confirmed the news via her Twitter account.

In a short message to her followers, she wrote: "Gorgeous morning all – Introducing #Wilbur our little ray of sunshine x"


The caption accompanied a photo of the newborn.

It is understood Silverton and her husband welcomed their son last week, but have only chosen to release the news. The couple are already parents to daughter, Clemency. They have previously spoken about their struggle to conceive a second child, having gone through four rounds of IVF, while Silverton also suffered two miscarriages.
