In March, the couple issued a joint statement in which they had decided to end their 10-year marriage. At the time, they referred to the split as a "conscious uncoupling".
The pair have since been spotted together on a number occasions which has led to speculation that they are trying to give their marriage another go. However, on Thursday (12 June), a spokesperson for the actress addressed the claims, saying: "You will many times see them together, as they are raising two children.
"I don't know why that is surprising since they were very clear when they announced their break-up that they were still very much a family, just not a couple."
Paltrow, 41, and Martin, 37, married in a secret ceremony in December 2003, just days after they confirmed the actress was expecting their first child. The couple had already been together for a year, after reportedly meeting backstage at a Coldplay concert. They have two children together, a 10-year-old daughter named Apple, and a son, Moses, aged eight.
