The actress announced her pregnancy last month, just weeks after she separated from her fiancé Daniel Riley.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Sweeney said: "I'm having a boy and I'm calling him Gabriel because he's my little angel."
The 43-year-old, who has suffered two miscarriages in the past, added: "I love being pregnant – it just feels exactly the right time in my life.
"I'll probably have this little boy and I'll think, I want some more, why didn't I do this years go? Or I might think, one's enough."
She also addressed her former relationship with Riley, explaining: "Mine and Daniel's split was all very amicable, we're still friends and it's great that he wants to be involved with the baby."
Sweeney and Riley, 28, announced their engagement on Christmas Eve 2013 and the couple had planned to marry in the House of Lords, but earlier this year it was confirmed that their relationship had come to an end.
