The 29-year-old, who is from Japan, is said to have become obsessed with the film having watched it a number of times. According to the Japanese website Kikonsha no Hakaba – which translates as 'The Gravesite Of Married People' – the woman then asked her partner to join her and also go see the movie.
Sadly, though, he did not have the same enthusiasm for the flick. He is reported as telling his spouse: "It's an okay movie, I guess, but I didn't really care for it personally.
"Did you really think it as that good?"
His doubts over the movie only served to aggravate his wife, who shot back: "If you can't understand what makes this movie great, there's something wrong with you as a human being."
She then demanded a divorce.
It has been claimed that the couple's six-year marriage is now over, with the woman having moved back home with her parents.
