Simon Cowell For Dad Of The Year

Simon Cowell has made the shortlist for this year's Celebrity Dad of the Year.

The 54-year-old became a father for the first time in February. He and his girlfriend, US socialite Lauren Silverman, welcomed a son named Eric on Valentine's Day.


The accolade, Marvel Celebrity Dad of the Year, will see the music mogul battle it out with a number of other famous fathers, including Ben Shephard, McFly's Tom Fletcher, Bradley Wiggins and comedian John Bishop.

Peter Andre, who has won the award twice, did not make this year's shortlist. Neither did Gary Barlow who scooped the title in 2012.

Voting is now open on the Marvel Facebook page.

Voting closes on 4 June, 2014.
