According to the MailOnline, the pair will marry this September, with Italy being the favourite destination for the ceremony.
Clooney, 52, has a home at Lake Como in the country, but it is thought the couple will not marry here as Ms Alamuddin wants a quiet wedding.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "September 12 is the date they are aiming for. Everyone thinks they will marry in Lake Como where George owns a beautiful home but Amal feels that is too public.
"They are looking to host a small wedding in an Italian village where they can control the photographers. But they haven't decided yet."
The couple, who announced their engagement last month, will also celebrate their union in London, where Alamuddin, 36, is based with a law firm, and Lebanon, where she was born.
