Thicke and his partner, Paula Patton, announced earlier this year that they had ended their eight-year marriage.
Yet it seems the singer is not ready to give up on the relationship. According to TMZ, Thicke has written a song called 'Get Her Back', in which he asks his wife for a second chance.
Some of the lyrics include: "I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life", and "I should've kissed you longer / I should've held you stronger / And I'll wait for forever for you".
The 37-year-old has previously spoken of his desire to reunite with Patton. In a number of his concerts shortly after the couple's split, he talked about forgiveness, with many speculating it was a reference to his private life.
Thicke and Patton are childhood sweethearts and have one child together, a three-year-old son called Julian.
