The former JLS singer and his wife Rochelle welcomed their first child, Alaia-Mai, together last year.
Speaking to Closer at the Radio Academy Awards, Humes said he couldn't wait to celebrate his little girl's first birthday next week.
He said: "I cannot believe she's coming up to a year old. It's terrifying! We're going to have lots of friends over for her birthday and spoil her with lots of presents and of course, some cake.
"She's becoming a little person which is really scary. She's starting to talk and she's got this amazing little personality. Becoming a father has definitely made me more responsible and it's the best job to me."
Rochelle and Marvin have been in a relationship since March 2010. They got engaged in December 2011 and married in July 2012 at Blenheim Palace.

Marvin Humes has admitted he can't wait for his daughter's first birthday.The former JLS singer and his wife Rochelle welcomed their first child, Alaia-Mai, together last year.
