Marc Fury asked his partner Naomi Coleman to marry him at the Cosy Club restaurant on Thursday night, the BBC has reported.
It is understood Ms Coleman was at a table when the 40-strong choir hired by Mr Fury belted out a medley of hits by singes Bruno Mars and Whitney Houston.
Following the performance, Marc got down on one knee and proposed. His girlfriend said yes and as the other restaurant-goers cheered and congratulated the couple, the flash mob performed an encore.
Sing & Inspire, which works with companies and charities to inspire and motivate their staff, used singers from Llamau, GE Aviation in Caerphilly and its Cardiff Bay "super choir" for the proposal. Steph Evans, from the company, led the choir and told the BBC: "We arranged for Marc and Naomi to have a table as near as possible to us and then we started.
"Other diners were as surprised as Naomi was when we started up and she didn't know the reason behind it until the very end when Marc got down on one knee. It was a wonderful moment."
