The couple, who have known each other for years but only started dating in 2013, spoke about their relationship during an interview on ITV's Lorraine show.
Hamilton, 31, admitted that due to health issues, they had not planned to trying for a baby, and both were surprised when they discovered they were expecting their first child together.
She explained: "[Last year] I had a ruptured cyst and lots of pain and complications so the doctor spoke to me and said I may have to have my ovaries removed at some point which was quite a shock.
"In my head, I thought maybe that's why I had children young because in later life I was going to have health issues so it was just not on the radar, we weren't planning a baby and then when Rich was in Austria in January we had a little cuddle..."
Neville added: "It definitely is a life changer, even just on perspectives on the world and stuff, the world's a different place all of a sudden."
While this will be the first child for Neville, 34, Hamilton is already a mum-of-three. She has a son Josh, 11, from her relationship with nightclub owner Fran Cosgrave; Harry, nine, whose father is dancer Gavin Hatcher; and three-year-old Alfie from her former marriage to businessman Riad Erraji. In July 2013, Hamilton announced she and Erraji had decided to go their separate ways, bringing their six-year marriage to an end.
