The research, carried out by 1st Central Car Insurance, found that this weekend – which is set to be the busiest on the roads this year – will see families spend around five hours and 24 minutes on the road during the Easter holiday.
Common factors behind the rows include arguing one in six families arguing over what to listen to on the radio, while the same go as far as to admit that children arguing in the back of the car has led to them having an accident in the past. When it comes to the parents though, 17% of dads confessed they are more likely to get distracted by text messages and social media posts on their phone than their children while driving; while almost a third of mum's say their partners' comments about their driving is more stressful than children in the back seat.
