Johnson made the announcement himself in Monday night's episode of the reality television show.
The couple had been dating since last year, but talking to his friends and co-stars Jamie Laing and Oliver Proudlock, Johnson said he was single. While he didn't go into details about the separation, he admitted: "I'm going through this cr*p at the moment with my own personal stuff and it's really draining. And then I've got the girls still on this witch hunt for the whole Alex and Binky stuff. I don't want to be a part of it so I've got to f***ing deal with that as well."
He then declined an invitation to attend a "singles dinner", saying: "I don't know if I'm ready for that just yet."
Following the show last night, Johnson then took to the MIC YouTube page and shared a video. In the video, he told his fans: "I was heartbroken when I split up from my girlfriend but expressing myself publicly was the best thing I could do. It gave me new strength, new hope and a new start."
