The 36-year-old, who was crowned the winner of The X Factor in December 2013, announced last week that she is expecting her third child.
Speaking to Reveal, the singer admitted she was initially upset when she discovered she was pregnant as the news came shortly after she won the tv talent show.
She explained: "I felt so guilty. All these people have been working so hard on my album, to promote me and my work, and then I go and get pregnant."
Her worry soon turned to excitement however when she received support from the music industry, and then the public.
She added: "I don't have to worry about being fat now. I was worried people would think I'd started to put on weight again.
"My main concern was being on tour and people not knowing, apart from production.
"When everyone was getting off the coach and carrying their luggage, someone would be carrying my stuff. I didn't want them thinking I'm a diva.
"When I saw Nicky [McDonald], Luke [Friend] and Sam [Callahan], they all bundled me, so I had to tell them because they've had to stop being so heavy-handed with me."
Bailey, who is a former prison officer, and her husband Craig, are already parents to a daughter, Brooke, 8, and a son, four-year-old Tommy.
