The announcement was revealed by the former cricketer himself following speculation that he had left the family home.
Speaking in an interview with TalkSport radio, the 43-year-old said: "In response to the stories in today's press, I can confirm I am no longer in a relationship with Anna.
"However, we remain close friends and are committed parents to our children. We will not be making any – any – further comment on this and politely ask that you please respect our family's privacy at this time.
"Because what's important at this time is my children. One is 19, who is a budding cricketer who wants to be a professional, he has a lot on his plate at the moment, and the other, who is going through his exams at this time, he's 16."
Earlier this week, it was alleged that Gough had been having an affair with his 'Jump' co-star Amy Childs, but the former TOWIE star quickly hit out at the claims saying they were not true.
Gough and his wife divorced in 2002 after eight years of marriage. They were then reported to have reconciled in 2009.
