Romance With Cowell Is Over – Sinitta

Sinitta has said her lengthy on/off relationship with Simon Cowell has come to an end.

The former singer's comments come just weeks after Cowell welcomed his first child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Sinitta, who is also godmother to the 54-year-old's newborn son, confirmed: "The who are-we-or-aren't-we thing with Simon and I... Being a bit stuck or hung-up on each other, but not being able to fully commit to each other and equally not being able to fully move on...

"In recent times we've finally been able to do that and him having a baby with Lauren certainly stops the yo-yo situation forever."

Sinitta, who is godmother to Cowell's newborn son Eric, added that she thinks her former lover and his girlfriend "deserve to be together".

She said: "Lauren has made my best friend extremely happy and he's finally found the woman he truly loves."

Cowell's relationship with US socialite Silverman first emerged in July 2013 when the X Factor judge had been named as a co-respondent in divorce papers filed by Ms Silverman's husband, Andrew. At the time, Mr Silverman, who was also a close friend of the millionaire, is alleged to have cited adultery as the reason for divorce. The Silvermans finalised their divorce in August 2013 and have one son together.
