The rapper, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, took to his Twitter account to slam a report by Heat magazine that he and his wife, Millie Mackintosh, were having problems.
Initially, the publication cited a source close to the couple as saying the "fairytale" period that followed their wedding had ended and "reality" had set in. Green was quick to hit back however, describing the claims as "malicious and unfounded BS".
He then directly challenged the reporter, writing: "Excuse me @oliviac_heat because we choose to not live out our relationship in the public eye wherever possible.
"We don't show up to the opening of an envelope hence not giving you much to write about, it doesn't give you the right to print malicious and unfounded BS about us or our relationship."
He continued: "@oliviac_heat does it make you feel better about yourself printing such negative things about others even if they're absolute lies?
"Did a doc and a fair few interviews to help those effected by suicide last week, didn't notice anything about that? (sic)
"Lastly your source is rubbish, none of our friends would speak a word to bottom feeders such as yourself."
Finishing off, the musician added that he has changed how he would have handled the situation in the past, admitting: "A year ago id have lost my rag... amazing the difference a year and a healthy mind can make. (sic)
"Letting people anger you gives them power over you they should never have."
Green and Mackintosh started dating in December 2009 and in March 2013 they announced their engagement. In September of that year, they tied the knot in front of their family and close friends at Babington House in Bath.
