The actor is already a father to two children – Tabitha Xaio Xi, who was born in September 2011 and Felix Chang, born in late 2012 – with Ms Tinglan Hong.
However, The Sun has now reported that the 53-year-old also fathered a child with Swedish television producer Anna Elisabet Eberstein. Their son is said to have been born in September 2012, just three months before his second child with Ms Hong.
According to the newspaper, it claimed that the entry for the father's name remained blank on the baby's birth certificate until it was re-registered in December 2013, now citing Grant's name as the father.
A source is quoted as saying: "They were pregnant with Hugh's children at the same time. It's an unusual arrangement.
"Anna is being supported by Hugh all the way. She lives in a very comfortable property in West London and knows that Hugh is there for her.
"Anna's parents in Sweden know all about the relationship and she has their blessing."
The actor has previously spoken out about becoming a father and said it changed his life. Speaking to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, he revealed: "Everyone was right all these years, saying, 'Hugh, why don't you have some children? It changes your life.'
"Now that I have [a child], it is life changing. I recommend it. Get some! I can't pretend it wasn't a little bit of a surprise. But it's a very nice surprise."
