Nadine Coyle has been forced to clarify a tweet stating she is "officially with child".
The singer, who is currently expecting her first child, took to her Twitter account on Tuesday night to share the message, "I am officially with child! Huge high five to all the ladies with & carrying babies! You are amazing!"
The tweet resulted in the 28-year-old being inundated with congratulatory messages from her fans who believed she had given birth. However, the singer then had to clarify her confusing message. In response to her fans' questions, she wrote: "No haha she has still not arrived! You are as bad as my family & friends every day they think baby time. (sic)"
She added that she was just feeling "blown away with all the kindness & well wishes since announcing I'm having a baby."
Continuing, she said: "So many companies & help has been offered. I am emotional at this stage as it is. Your kindness really is overwhelming. Thank you all so much. I am forever grateful."
Coyle, who is originally from Northern Ireland, revealed her surprise pregnancy in August last year. It will be the first child for the singer and her partner Jason Bell. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that the couple had become engaged over the Christmas holidays, but this has not been confirmed by either party. The pair were previously engaged, but went their separate ways in 2011. They are said to have reunited last year.
