Kian Egan has denied rumours that Joey Essex and Amy Willerton are faking their relationship in order to gain publicity.
Egan, who was recently crowned the 'King of the Jungle' in the latest series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' earlier this month, said his two fellow campmates are "genuinely very close".
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, the former Westlife singer explained: "They were stuck together in that jungle - it was genuine.
"A lot of people played up for the cameras but I didn't see it with those two really.
"They were genuinely very close."
Shortly after they [Essex and Willerton] first emerged from the jungle, reality television star Essex confirmed that the pair were an official item, but Willerton later denied the claim and said there had been "a little mix-up".
However, she then revealed in an interview that the couple had shared a "cheeky kiss" while they were in Australia.
