Katie Piper has revealed she is expecting a baby girl.
The 30-year-old, who survived a horrific acid attack in 2008, added that her life has changed in a "wonderful" way, since discovering she was pregnant.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, she explained: "This is the start of a whole new life. The other night I was at a charity ball and everyone I met wanted to talk to me about the baby, not about my burns and recovery. I thought, 'Hallelujah'.
"This baby doesn't know it but she is changing my life in so many ways and it's wonderful."
The charity campaigner also revealed she and partner James thought they were having a boy, and admitted she was worried about having a girl.
"Of course, your main concern is that your baby is forming healthily and everything is progressing as it should," she commented. "But because of everything that has happened to me, I had this slight feeling of panic, thinking 'Oh gosh but it's such a dangerous world for a woman'."
In September, Piper confirmed she was pregnant with her first child. She has been with her partner James for two years. In 2008, the mum-to-be was the victim of an acid attack. The attack, which blinded Piper in one eye, was arranged by her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Lynch.
