Cole mentored Cher Lloyd, 20, on the 2010 series of The X Factor.
Taking to Twitter, Cole said: "Wow!! Heard your good news. Congratulations @CherLloyd I hope you have many more happy years and memories to come. Cheryl x"
Lloyd was quick to reply with: "Thank you so much!!!"
The pair, despite being close on the show, had a falling out in recent years after Lloyd criticised Cole's singing ability, while the former Girls Aloud singer responded with a warning of "be careful who you kick on your way up".
Earlier this week, Lloyd surprised her followers after she shared a photo on Instagram which revealed she had secretly tied the knot with her fiancé Craig Monk.
The couple Lloyd have been engaged since January 2012, less than a year after they started dating.
