Styles, 19, and 18-year-old Kendall, who is the half-sister of Kim Kardashian, were seen at West Hollywood restaurant 'Craig's', according to the Daily Mirror.
It is understood the pair first met when the British boyband were rehearsing for an appearance on The X Factor USA.
No official comments have been made about the date.
Styles has previously been liked with a number of famous ladies, including Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne. He also famously dated television presenter Caroline Flack, who was 15 years his senior. After much media interest and controversy surrounding their relationship, the couple decided to go their separate ways in January 2012.
