Taking to Twitter, the Atomic Kitten singer and her fiancé told their followers the happy news.
She wrote: "@mrgsjkay we're sooo happy we're having a little boy xxxxx."
Katona is already a mum to four.
She is mum to daughters Molly and Lilly-Sue, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden, and son Max and daughter Heidi from her marriage to Mark Croft. This will be her first child with Kay.
The former rugby player also took to the social networking site to express his happiness at becoming a father for the first time.
He added: "@KerryKatona7 that's what it's all about!! There's gonna be 3 lads in the house xx."
The couple announced their engagement in April and confirmed they were expecting a baby on The Alan Titchmarsh show in September.
At the time, she said: "I have food and a baby in my belly, the best friends in the world, a great job and I'm a very lucky girl. I'm very grateful."
