According to E! Online, a representative for the actress has addressed the claims and stated Hathway and her husband are not expecting a child together.
Earlier this week, Star magazine reported the 30-year-old was pregnant. It claimed the Hathway's brother had let the news slip during one of his performances at a comedy night in Brooklyn, New York.
A member who was in the audience is quoted by the paper as saying: "Tom opened his act by talking about Anne's personal life.
"He said, 'My sister got married last year, and now she is about to be a new mom!' I don't think he realised what he had done."
Hathaway, who married Adam Shulman in California in 2012, has previously spoken of her desire to start a family, telling the Daily Express: "I'm dying to be a mum. I'm not ready for it yet but it's one of the joys of life that I'm looking forward to so very much."
