Boxer Amir Khan has confirmed he and his wife – Faryal Makhdoom – are expecting their first child.
Khan, 26, and his partner added that they "can't wait" to become parents.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Khan revealed: "It's still early days but we're both very excited and can't wait to be parents.
"Our families are delighted and we're blessed to have their support and guidance."
The couple, who first met in 2011, married in a £660,000 ceremony in May this year. Their ceremony was held at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan, New York, in front of a reported 400 guests. The pair then held a second ceremony in Khan's hometown of Bolton, which took the form of a traditional Walima wedding which included 4,000 guests. The pair now reside in Bolton.
