The groom, 28-year-old Muhammed Zafron, later admitted his part in the conspiracy. He was jailed in May, with a recommendation made that he be deported on his release.
Speaking at Dungannon Crown Court, Ms Kobus admitted the wedding was a sham, but that she did not know this at the time.
Kobus, who is a mum of three, said she had entered into the union because she loved Zafron and wanted to marry him, even though the couple had only met a few times.
The wedding was scheduled to take place just four days before Zafron's three-year student visa was due to expire.
A nephew of a taxi driver, who had collected the groom from a bus station, was also said to have been persuaded to act as a witness to the wedding. Later, the driver told police that as he took Zafron, Kobus and another Polish woman to the registry office, the two women spoke to each other in their own language, adding that there was no interaction between Kobus and her husband-to-be.
The other woman was found to be Hanna Adamczyk, a friend of Kobus. She had arrived in NI a few days previously to the wedding and was to act as a witness.
Ms Adamczyk also appeared in court on Wednesday and was found guilty of being part of a conspiracy.

A Polish divorcee has been found guilty of taking part in a sham wedding in Northern Ireland.
