Faregj Hamlat, Salem Annan and Lorraine Mary O'Brien all face charges connected to a suspected fake marriage at the City Hall, a report by UTV has said.
The would-be groom, 26-year-old Hamlat, is accused of trying to breach immigration law through the marriage which was disrupted on 4 June this year. The man, who is from Algeria but has an address on Belfast's Stockman's Lane, is also claimed to have tried to remain in the UK by deception.
The bride-to-be, O'Brien, 31, who has an address in Newry, faces a charge of attempting to assist unlawful immigration, while the third suspect, 28-year-old Annan from Ulsterville Avenue is alleged to have committed the same offence by acting as a witness.
On Monday, all three appeared at Belfast's Magistrates Court.
At the hearing, District Judge Fiona Bagnall granted a prosecution application to have all of the accused return for trial at the Crown Court at a later date.
Both O'Brien and Annan were released on continuing bail, while Hamlat was remanded in custody.
