Perrie Edwards has said she has been on "cloud nine" ever since her engagement to Zayn Malik.
The 20-year-old singer accepted the One Direction star's proposal in August and says they are both "so happy".
In an interview with Bliss magazine, Edwards added that she had no idea her partner, also 20, was going to propose.
She said: "We've spoken about it before, but we're just so happy right now. I'm on cloud nine and so is he!"
However, three people that were not surprised by the engagement news were Edwards 'Little Mix' bandmates – Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
Thirlwall added: "Literally, she got proposed to on Sunday, we were back to work on Monday and it was the first thing she said.
"It wasn't really a surprise. Obviously you're shocked when you see the ring for the first time, but it was only a matter of time because they are so loved up. It's exciting!"
While Pinnock admitted she was emotional when her bandmate and friend shared the news.
"When she told me, I was verging on tears. Yeah, I am such a baby! We're so happy for her."
However, when asked about whether she liked Edwards' engagement ring, Jesy Nelson joked: "Oh no, it's not really my style. If someone proposed to me I'd want a skull, I'm not joking, a sparkly one wouldn't suit my style with all these [points to her rings].
"It would ruin my look. I'd be like, 'Get me one with a diamond, but in a skull'. Or a skull with a wedding ring in its mouth."
