Nadine Coyle has confirmed her ex-fiancé Jason Bell is the father of her unborn child.
The former Girls Aloud singer confirmed the news in an interview with Hello! magazine.
Coyle, 28, revealed she was expecting her first child in August, but did not say who the father was. Since then, speculation had been rife that the singer had reunited with her estranged partner.
Speaking to the publication she admitted: "I think we just forgot to tell everyone we were together.
"When I said I was pregnant I thought, 'Why's everyone wondering who it is?' Then I remembered, 'Oh yes, that's right. I do stuff on TV and people are confused.' So this clears it up!"
She also revealed that she was "shocked" by her pregnancy, but is "really happy", confessing that some of her former bandmates were more ready for starting a family than she was.
"I think I was the least likely to be the first to have a baby. It would always come up," she said.
"A couple of the other girls had wanted babies for a long time but I said no way... It was definitely a shock, but I was really, really happy."
The couple first started dating in January 2008, but announced their split in March 2011.
