According to the Daily Mail, 22-year-old Nadia Watson woke up with pains but then collapsed on the bathroom floor before going into labour.
Her partner, Lewis, also 22, was in their Weston-super-Mare home at the time, but slept through the ordeal, even though his girlfriend's screams could be heard by their neighbours.
In fact, the neighbours were so alarmed by Ms Watson's distressed screams that they dialled 999, prompting police cars to arrive just minutes after she had given birth.
Furthermore, when Ms Watson showed her boyfriend their newborn daughter, she said he initially went back to sleep, but later woke in shock when he realised what had happened.
Ms Watson said: "He can literally sleep through anything - fire alarms, the lot. I have no idea how he does it."
The new mum had been working two jobs just before she gave birth and said she had no idea she was pregnant as she had remained a size 10, with very little weight gain.
Following the birth, Ms Watson named her daughter Poppy as she was delivered on Remembrance Sunday last year.
