British Couples 'Love To Argue' - Survey

British couples love to argue, according to a new study by NetVoucherCodes.co.uk.

The survey found there are 50 issues that are most likely to result in a disagreement with a partner, with money, children and sex topping the list.

Other topics certain to cause an argument are religion and politics, household chores, where to go on holiday, not replacing a toilet roll or who is responsible for cooking the dinner.

A number of factors involving children seem to be the catalyst for disagreements, such as help with homework, reading time, giving them a lift back from a friend's house or deciding which school they will attend.

While a messy house can also escalate into a row between couples.

When it came down to why arguments can start, some couples admitted the liked to have an argument so they could cure their boredom, while others said they enjoy the benefits of making up afterwards.

A spokesman for NetVoucherCodes.co.uk said: "Sometimes a good argument is needed to clear the air and get things on an even keel. There are always going to be triggers for tiffs, like money and the kids but I have to admit, some of the more trivial ones did raise a smile.

"Problem is, at some point or another I'm sure we've all argued about most of the things on the list however trivial they may seem. Maybe, every now and again we need to take a step back and think about what we're about to say before we say it."
