The speculation started after photographs emerged allegedly showing film director Burton kissing a blonde woman outside a cinema in Hampstead at the end of last month.
In response, Ms Bonham Carter's spokesperson issued a statement to the Daily Express, stating: "This is absolute nonsense.
"The pictures were taken whilst they were out and the large group includes family, friends and work colleagues."
The famous couple were reportedly last seen together at a public event in March this year.
They started dating in 2001 after meeting on the set of movie 'Planet of the Apes'. While they are a couple, they live separately in two adjoining houses in London.
They have two children together. Their son, Billy Raymond Burton, was born on 4 October 2003 and their daughter, Nell, was born in December 2007.
