According to the Metro, 27-year-old Ryan Leak organised the big day by using his girlfriend's page on the photo-sharing website Pinterest.
On her account, she had a page entitled 'My Dream Wedding', with more than 220 images 'repinned'.
Mr Leak came up with the idea after he overheard his partner, Amanda Roman, tell a friend that she wanted to be engaged and married at the same time.
Leak, who is a motivational speaker, is quoted as saying: "Amanda basically planned her dream wedding without even knowing it.
"Planning a whole wedding in unbelievably daunting, so Pinterest was amazing as it enabled me to pick exactly what Amanda would have liked.
"I always knew I wanted an extravagant wedding, but I never anticipated doing anything this drastic."
The groom took his wife-to-be to Miami on the premise of a 'holiday', where he then proposed. After she accepted, he took her to a hotel lounge where 100 friends and family members were waiting for the couple. They were holding a banner that said "today" before they all went to a register office. Leak even went as far as to fly in his partner's favourite make-up and hair stylist for the ceremony, as well as buying Amanda her dream wedding dress.
Amanda added: "I never thought I would be able to pull off some of the things I saw on Pinterest.
"Ryan is a risk-taker and didn't settle for my watered down version of my 'dream wedding' – he went for the gusto."
