Liam Payne is reportedly dating a teenager he went to school with.
According to a report in the Sunday Mirror, the One Direction singer flew 19-year-old Sophia Smith from their hometown of Wolverhampton to Los Angeles last week so they could spend some time together while the singer is on tour.
The paper adds that Ms Smith joined Liam's mum Karen, dad Geoff and sisters Nicola and Ruth for the trip as they watched the boyband perform four sold-out dates at LA's Staples Centre.
She was also said to have spent time with Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, who is dating Zayn Malik from the band, and Louis Tomlinson's girlfriend Eleanor Calder in a VIP area at the venue.
A source said the relationship is getting "very serious, very fast".
It is reported this is the first relationship for 19-year-old Payne since he split from Danielle Peazer earlier this year.
Payne and Smith attended St Peter's Collegiate School together and were recently spotted on a night out at London's Funky Buddha club.
However, news of the potential new relationship was met with anger by some One Direction fans, who sent her abusive messages and prompted Smith to delete a number of her Instagram pictures featuring the couple together.
